What exactly are you selling?
Well, if you think it is just a week or two renting a holiday property to a customer, we'd suggest you put yourself in their shoes:
"I want a holiday experience that is going to exceed a run-of-the-mill package tour - that's why I am spending so much more. I want to turn up to this holiday property and say 'Wow! This was worth paying the extra for!"
Now, your holiday property is just one of the millions for rent. You need to make it a great (personalised) experience. You want your customer to come back and tell their friends, who tell their friends and it isn't just the holiday property that is going to do that - it is going to be the overall experience that you give them. From the booking and the contact you have, through to the friendliness you show and the holiday itself.
Have you got a method for communicating to your customers? How often do you speak to them before (and after) their journey at the moment?
You need to make their visit to your villa, or apartment, memorable for years to come. Let's face it, we all remember a great holiday we once took and we probably all still speak about it. We need to try and remember what made it special and build that into our own propositions with our holiday property let.
